Sewell Wallis are partnered with a successful and dynamic business in Leeds to recruit for a newly created role of Management Accountant.

My client are a nationwide food manufacturing business that have a number of different facilities around the UK.

The company are the leading supplier in the UK with a proven track record of supplying new and price effective products to the largest retailers in the country.

Areas of responsibility;

*Heavily involved in the production of 14 sets of management accounts from start to finish for their manufacturing sites.
*Preparation of weekly flash results for both internal and external stakeholders
*Processing of all journals, weekly and monthly accruals, prepayments and standard journals.
*Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations for all cost centres for presenting at monthly Balance Sheet review meetings.
*Collation of weekly KPI's for the warehouse/factory operation in order to track performance.
*Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders
*Assisting with variance analysis to understand cost drivers in order to challenge the Operations Managers.
*Providing informative commentary on P&Ls and account packs for both internal and external stakeholders.
*Managing inter departmental / site cross charges.
*Working closely with non-financial management, explaining the accounts in depth in order to improve financial awareness.
*Reconciling monthly payroll
