Management Accountant

Job description

Sewell Wallis are currently working with a recognised manufacturing business in Hull who are looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join their Finance team.

This role is fully office based.

Ideally you will be Part Qualified / QBE with a strong background in management accounts.

Reporting to the CFO, your responsibilities will include:-

Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
Preparing information for the reporting packs
Balance sheet reconciliations
Preparing statutory returns
Liaising with the auditors
Supporting transactional finance
Reviewing variance analysis with the budget holders
Processing weekly payroll
KPI reporting
Making recommendations for process improvements
Ad hoc finance project work as required

Requirements

PQ CIMA / ACCA / QBE
Strong management accounts and financial analysis experience
Experience of tax (VAT, corporation tax, import duties, PAYE) would be advantageous
Ability to work as part of a small finance team
Excellent communication skills as this role will involve presenting financial information to senior budget holders
