Management Accountant

Sewell Wallis are delighted to be exclusively partnering with an FMCG business based in south Leeds who are looking for a new Management Accountant to join their senior finance team.

This pivotable Management Accountant position will work within a friendly and highly dynamic finance function, offering exceptional career progression for the right individual. Whilst not initially managing anyone, you will still be a senior member of the team and will therefore be confident in demonstrating strong leadership qualities to junior members.

Reporting to a highly motivating Finance Manager, your role will include the following duties:-

-Supporting the Finance Manager in the development and delivery for Forecasting and Reporting for the group
-Assist in preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts
-Assist in variance analysis of performance against budget and forecasts
-Preparation of weekly reporting on site performance
-Posting journals for the preparation of month end reporting
-Maintenance of manufacturing labour standards for all products
-Reconciliation of raw material and goods stocks on a monthly basis

Based just outside the centre of Leeds this role will have on site parking and does require someone to be office based throughout the week. Working hours are incredibly flexible though, so start and finish times can work around your personal circumstances i.e childcare commitments

To be considered for this role you will ideally be a qualified accountant, although individuals with one exam left will be considered. You will have experience working withing manufacturing/FMCG/multi-site businesses and have great attention to detail.

You must be a confident Excel user and a strong communicator due to your daily communication with senior stakeholders in the business.
