Interim Management Accountant

Job description

We are currently working with an excellent organisation based in Otley who are looking for some urgent temporary support within their finance team. They are looking to appoint an Interim Management Accountant on a 3 - 6 months basis to help them through a busy period. There is the opportunity for this role to become permanent for the right individual.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, your role will include the following duties:-

-Produce the monthly management accounts and maintaining up to date balance sheet reconciliations
-Analyse actual spend vs budgets/forecasts and explain any variances
-Work closely with the operational teams to assist with any finance related queries
-Advise the management team on ways to improve business performance and strategies to reduce cost
-Analyse and manage risk
-Assist with audit file preparation
-Mentor the Assistant Management Accountant and Accounts Assistant in their roles
-Communicate effectively with external suppliers
-Other ad hoc tasks as requested by the senior management team

You will ideally be a qualified accountant with experience in management and financial accounts. You need to available to start the assignment as soon as possible and be confident in liaising with senior stakeholders.
