Sewell Wallis recruitment are currently working with a professional services company who are known nationally. They are looking to appoint an interim Accountant on 12 month fixed term contract basis.This role will be working outside the core finance team and will be partnering with one area of the business to focus on analysis, planning, budgets and commentary.Ideally they are looking for a fully qualified accountant who has strong experience with all commercial aspects of accountancy.
Duties will include;
-providing regular performance reporting, ensuring the financial controls are adequate for the business unit
-Holding responsibility for budgets, forecasting and planning, along with financial controls and regulatory compliance
-Producing and developing both weekly and monthly reports, with insightful commentary, showing current financial performance
-Interpret KPIs to improve divisional profitability.
-Lead and manage the key financial processes by maintaining schedules, ensuring Finance systems are updated accordingly.
-Provide support and guidance to the Group Financial Accounting teams during the balance sheet reviews for key areas of financial transactions
To be successful in this role;
-You will be a qualified Accountant CIMA, ACCA or ACA
-Have strong financial planning and analysis experience with excellent data manipulation and presentation skills
-Advanced Excel - including VBA
-Solid knowledge of UKGAAP and financial controls
-Demonstrable experience influencing stakeholders
