Our client is a successful national, specialist distribution business based in Chesterfield. They have an immediate need to recruit an Interim Assistant Accountant to join their team on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. Working as part of a successful, friendly and driven team you will undertake a varied role.This is a great opportunity to join an established team who have excellent processes and controls in place. They are based on the outskirts of Chesterfield and easy to reach from Mansfield, Sheffield and Worksop.
Duties will include;
-Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate monthly reporting including Preparation and posting of prepayments and accruals, stock and cost of product valuation, revenue verification, fixed assets, balancing of control accounts and trial balance review
-Assistance in group reporting
-Assist with annual statutory accounts and returns
-Preparing and submitting VAT and Intrastat returns
The successful candidate will:
*Have management accounting, fixed assets and VAT experience
*Have advanced excel skills (VLookups & Pivot Tables) and will have experience manipulating high volume data sets
*Be immediately available
*Be ACCA/CIMA part qualified - candidates who are AAT qualifed will also be considered
