Interim Accountant

We are currently supporting a leading UK organisation in their search for a Management Accountant on a temp to perm basis. This modern and highly dynamic company have gone from strength to strength over the past 10 years and are now looking to add an experienced accountant to their team as soon as possible in a this newly created Management Accountant position.

Initially a 6-month contract, this role will be ideally looking for someone who would consider staying with the business long term due to their recent success and growth. The position will look after a business unit that has just secured many new contracts and therefore requires a dedicated finance professional to grow with the company.

Reporting to the Financial Controller your duties will include the following:-

-Producing the monthly management accounts for the business unit
-Liaising with auditors to assist with the year-end reconciliations, analysis and reports for the statutory accounts
-Cashflow forecasting
-Analysing engineering labour costs
-Journal postings
-VAT returns
-Investigating site contribution, working with the existing finance team and the heads of departments to analyse and understand individual site performance
-Ensure consistency of reporting across different sites
-Balance sheet reporting and analysis
-Assist with systems and process improvements projects

You will need to available at short notice and a qualified accountant, qualified by experienced individuals will also be considered. You must be confident in business partnering with multiple department heads with strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
