Sewell Wallis are currently working on behalf of a successful, well-known business based on the outskirts of Leeds to recruit for an experienced Head of Credit to join their team. The role has arisen to cover maternity leave initially and will be interim for 6-9 months, however this may be extended to support with ongoing projects.

The role will report directly into the Financial Controller and will involve supporting the Credit Team Leader in the daily management of the credit team, whilst managing an ongoing project.

The key responsibilities of the role will be:-

*To lead, coach and manage the credit team, ensuring that performance standards are met.
*Ensure that all debtors ledgers are managed accordingly.
*Manage the development of the credit risk and collections strategy, reporting any risks to senior management as necessary.
*Working closely with key stakeholders to promote the credit management function.
*Supporting the credit team leader with the management of the credit team.
*Reviewing internal SOX controls to ensure compliance.
*Standardising processes to ensure the function of the team is more efficient.

The ideal candidate will have:-

*A strong background in credit - B2B, ideally high-volume, low-value accounts.
*Experience of managing collections and risk across multi-currency ledgers.
*The ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
*Previous experience of managing stakeholder relationships.
