Sewell Wallis are currently working with a global business in Leeds who are looking to recruit a Head of Accounting to join their UK Head office team.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified Accountant, ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA and reporting into the Director of Finance, your responsibilities will include:-

Preparing monthly financial accounts within agreed deadlines
Budgeting and monthly forecasting
Ensuring accurate monthly reporting
Taking ownership of the balance sheet for the relevant entities, including overseas teams
Preparing complex journals
Providing detailed financial analysis to senior stakeholders
Preparing quarterly audit reviews
Working closely with Finance Business Partners to ensure financial information is prepared accurately
Working with the wider finance teams in the UK and overseas on ad hoc projects
Managing a small team

Requirements

Fully qualified Accountant, ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA with a strong academic background
Experience of working in a fast paced environment
Solid reporting skills
Experience of team management
Strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and presentation skills

This role is based in Leeds, however they are offering hybrid working where you may only be expected to be office based 1-2 days per week.
