Group Financial Accountant

Sewell Wallis are currently working with one of the most acquisitive Groups in the UK, who have demonstrated impressive year on year growth over the past 10 years, resulting in excellent opportunities coming up within their finance team.

They are now looking for a Group Financial Accountant to join their team based in Harrogate, to report into a highly experienced and personable, Head of Group Reporting.

This fantastic role will play a key part in the delivery of the year end audit, whilst also encompassing technical and acquisition accounting.

Your role as Group Financial Accountant will include the following duties:-

* Support with the coordination of year end process of the annual financial statements
* Prepare annual financial statements ensuring they are compliant with FRS 101
* Work closely with the external auditors, providing them with the relevant information they require to ensure year end timetables are met
* Work collaboratively with other finance teams to ensure auditors requests are met in an effective manner
* Maintain good working relationships with external auditors and internal tax advisors
* Prepare regulatory, tax and other external reports
* Calculating investment for past & future acquisitions
* Provide technical accounting and regulatory reporting

Our client is ideally looking for someone who is eager to make their first move into industry, with a passion for financial accounting.
You will need to be self-motivated and driven as this busy role will interact with the wider business on a regular basis.
You will be dealing with complex business issues, so this role requires someone who uses their initiative and is confident in communicating any areas of concern to the wider team.
