Group Financial Accountant

Group Financial Accountant - Harrogate - Salary circa £45,000 - Hybrid working

Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a rapidly growing Marketing Agency that offers great progression opportunities with a clear training and progression program.

This role will involve working closely with the CFO and Group Financial Controller, and would ideally suit a qualified accountant looking to move from practice into industry.

Key tasks and responsibilities

This support will have oversight of the Group as a whole as it continues its expansion and growth agenda and will involve working closely with the Chief Finance Officer and Group Financial Controller.

* Working closely with the Group Financial Controller to determine the appropriate accounting treatment for new acquisitions within the Group entity
* Lead the restatement of acquisition companies accounts to align with Group policies
* Responsibility for the consolidation of monthly management accounts for the Board
* Assist the Finance team with preparation of audit information for the Statutory accounts
* Supporting the wider finance team with advice on technical accounting issues
* Manage the ledger for the corporate entities
* Liaise with auditors and advisers as necessary

Knowledge & experience

We are looking for an ambitious individual, who has a genuine passion for developing their career within Finance. This individual will need to be highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

* Qualified accountant - ideally ACA practice trained
* Experience of consolidated accounting is essential
* Experience of accounting for acquisitions is preferable
* Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and ownership
* The ability to prioritise work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels
* Experience of Sage preferable
* Be a team player, with the willingness to pitch in to work together to achieve both individual and team goals
