Group Accountant

Our client

Sewell Wallis are delighted to be working with a fantastic distribution organisation based in north Leeds, who are looking to appoint a Group Accountant. This international business have consistently hit an exceptional profit figure for the last 10 years and are set for further growth.

The role

As their new Group Accountant, you will report into the Head of Finance and be responsible for overseeing a site with a turnover of £25m.

Your duties will consist of the following:

-Producing monthly and year end accounts for the site
-Various projects including capex analysis
-A subject matter expert on IFRS and FRS102
-Assist with quarterly IFRS SAP reporting to assist with publishing the audited financial statements
-Support with developing reporting systems and streamlining the reporting process
-Coordinating with internal and external auditors
-Preparing the statutory accounts
-Regular business partnering with non-finance team members

About you

This is an ideal role for a 1st time mover from practice, ideally with experience in auditing international clients. You will need to be a qualified accountant with a strong background in management and statutory accounts.
You must be used to hitting strict deadline and be someone confident in managing a busy workload. A confident and articulate communicator is required due to the regular liaising with non-finance departmental managers.
