Following a recent investment from a private equity firm, our client is now set for their next phase of growth throughout 2021 and beyond. Following their recent appointment of a new and highly dynamic CFO, they now require a commercially focused Financial Controller to join their finance team, to support the CFO in driving the business forward.
This rare Financial Controller opportunity will suit someone who is looking for the commercial exposure of working for a growing SME, but also wants to keep tight control of the numbers. Reporting into the CFO your role will include the following responsibilities:-
-Manage multiple commercial finance projects alongside the CFO, working closely with the investors
-Manage a small, yet growing finance function, holding regular one to ones and leading clear development plans for everyone
-Quickly scope out the current finance team and identify any additional requirements to support with business growth
-Prepare the monthly management accounts
-Business partner with all the departmental heads, in particular Operations, to really understand what drives the revenue and any areas that need some additional attention
-Analysis around current margins, advising on any adjustments to increase company profitability
-Cash flow forecasting and treasury management
-Provision of insightful, commercial focused management information and trend analysis
-Development of internal control process and system improvements
There are some key requirements in order to be considered for this role and they are as follows:-
-To be a qualified accountant, (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
-To have worked for a PE backed organisation
-You must be commercially astute with strong business partnering experience
-You must be able to influence at a high level when necessary
-Strong man management skills
-Experience working within e-commerce/retail would be highly advantageous but not essential.
