This is a newly created role, working as part of a recently formed senior management team who have been appointed during an exciting period of change. This is a great opportunity where the successful candidate will be able to make significant changes into the operational running and performance of the business.
Reporting in the Managing Director, the Financial Controller will be the number one person on site and responsible for the full leadership of the Finance function. This is a key appointment as this person will be second in command for the full running of the business including operations.
Duties will include;
Management of the finance team including Purchase Ledger and Credit Control
Productions of financial statutory reporting and year end, preparation of audit files
Business planning including budgeting and forecasting
Cash flow forecasting
Preparation of key management information reporting
Implementation of systems and processes
Presentation of results and has an active involvement in senior management meetings
Responsible for processing payroll
This role suits a commercially minded qualified Accountant who can demonstrate a broad understanding of both management and statutory accounts. The ability to improve systems, processes and drive change across the business is also really important.
Qualified - CIMA/ACCA/ACA
Significant experience working as senior management level
Demonstrable experience improving processes, controls and systems
People management experience
Enthusiastic and confident in challenging decision making
