We are proud to be working on an exclusive basis with a manufacturing and service business based in Sheffield with their search for a Financial Controller. This is a number one role, reporting into a driven and newly appointed CEO who is looking to recruit a motivated individual into this position to drive change and continuous improvement within the finance function.

This is a profitable, debt free business who have plans to continue growing. They are therefore looking for a commercially aware and ambitious Financial Controller / Finance Manager who is ready for their next challenge. On offer is the potential for this role to develop into a Director position with the possibility of share options in the future.

The successful candidate will take on a fully autonomous finance role and will be instrumental in driving significant change within the department including a system and process implementation project. You will be responsible for developing and presenting a new management accounting pack and will be a key member in decision making within the senior management team. You will also have strong forecasting, planning and business partnering skills utilised by driving efficiencies and spotting areas for growth within the operation.

This is definitely a hands on role that will require the new appointment to roll their sleeves up and get involved with the nitty gritty and lead from the front. It will suit a qualified accountant who has significant experience at this level working for an SME. The successful candidate will not only be able to demonstrate that they can bring relevant experience but they will also have a positive, confident personality and an inspiring people manager who will lead the team through an exciting period of change.
