Financial Controller

Sewell Wallis are delighted to be partnering on an exclusive basis with a growing business in Leeds who are looking to recruit a Financial Controller into their Head Office team.

Working as part of the senior management team and leading a small Finance function, this is an extremely varied role where your responsibilities will include:-

  • Leading the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Producing monthly management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Overseeing the weekly and monthly payroll processes
  • Analysing financial performance
  • Presenting financial information to key stakeholders
  • Managing and reporting on foreign currency balances
  • Overseeing the preparation of VAT returns
  • Dealing with client contracts and tenders

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant, ideally CIMA / ACCA / ACA
  • Experience of working within an SME
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Confident communicator across all levels with the ability to challenge senior stakeholders
  • Strong IT skills
