We are working with a leading manufacturing business based in Barnsley with their search for a Financial Controller. This role would suit a qualified Operational Accountant with a sound background in manufacturing that is looking to take the next step up in their career ladder. The successful candidate will be an excellent Finance Business Partner to the Operational Heads of Departments, will be prepared to be hand's on when required and will be an exceptional motivator and leader of a small team.Duties for this role include;
- Day-to-day management and coaching of a small Finance team
- Overseeing the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Preparing annual budgets and trading forecasts
- Responsible for year end accounts production and a key contact for the external Auditors
- Providing weekly and monthly reporting
- Providing financial analysis to aid commercial decision making
- Ensuring finance systems are robust and support future growth activities
- Preparation of VAT and Corporation Tax returns
- Treasury / foreign exchange management
Suitable candidates;
- Will be CIMA qualified with experience working within a medium to large sized manufacturing business
- Will have experience managing a small team
- Will have excellent partnering experience with operations
- Will be self motivated and driven and not afraid to challenge the norm
