Financial Controller

Sewell Wallis are exclusively working with a fast growing technology business based in east Leeds who are looking to appoint a Financial Controller in a newly created role.

This is a great opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a medium sized finance team, with the potential opportunity to grow into a Finance Director role in the future.

As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for leading the finance team, managing all financial aspects of the company with the FD, including budgeting, forecasting, statutory accounting and reporting.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures and internal controls
- Produce the monthly management accounts
- Collaborate with senior management to create and maintain budgets and forecasts
- Manage a finance function of 7 people, holding regular development appraisal
- Support with the Group audit
- Focus on improving current systems and procedures
- Analyse financial data and provide insights and recommendation to senior management

To be considered for this role you must be a qualified accountant who is extremely strong on Excel and systems overall and be results orientated and self motivated.

You will enjoy managing a team and have the natural ability to make key improvements across the business.
