Financial Analyst - IT & Operations

Job description

Sewell Wallis are recruiting for a Financial Analyst to join a well known global brand with offices in Leeds city centre.

Working as part of the FP&A team, supporting IT & Operations, this is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious newly qualified Accountant, ideally CIMA/ACCA with experience of working within Manufacturing/Logistics/Supply Chain / Freight.

Reporting to the Finance Manager your responsibilities will include:-

Preparing supply chain and inventory cost analysis / standard reporting on a monthly basis
Supporting the Supply Chain / Operations teams where you will be taking ownership of consolidating and reporting and forecast templates
Leading the product costing process, including signing off quarterly vendor pricing updates, providing detailed cost calculations for new products (from new product development to launch) and performing the annual standard cost recalculation process
Preparing supply chain and inventory cost analysis/standard reporting on a monthly basis Measuring performance against key business metrics and highlighting areas for improvement
Taking ownership for some of the Operations / IT / Supply Chain cost centres including month end close, forecasting, business partnering and reporting
Supporting the production of quarterly and annual forecasts in line with the business planning process
Ad hoc project work to support the growth of the business

Requirements

Qualified / Newly Qualified, ideally CIMA/ACCA
Experience of standard cost accounting is desirable
Excellent Microsoft office skills
Comfortable dealing with large data sets
Ability to build strong effective working relationships with stakeholders including non-Finance Managers
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Excellent communication and presentation skills
