Financial Accountant - ideal for a 1st time mover!

Sewell Wallis are thrilled to be working with a highly reputable FMCG business based in Leeds who are looking for a newly qualified/close to qualification Financial Accountant to join their team.

Our client has well-known brands in every supermarket and have demonstrated excellent growth over several years. If you are looking to work for a thriving business, with a product that you can really relate to, then this is an excellent opportunity to apply for.

The role would suit either a first-time mover from practice, or someone who is currently working in industry in a Financial Accountant position.

Reporting into the Head of Financial Accounting, your role will include the following duties:-

-Preparing a trial balance suitable for submitting to the US parent for its consolidated results
-Preparing and uploading budgets, forecast and other data to the US parent's consolidation financial system
-Gather lease information and prepare lease accounting entries, journals and reconciliations
-Managing, reconciling and freeing inter-company balances
-Preparing VAT returns and intrastat forms
-Authorising bank payments
-Balance sheet reconciliations
-Assisting with the preparation of the statutory accounts
-Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax returns
