Finance Manager - no1 finance position

An excellent opportunity has arisen with a highly impressive start up company based in Leeds city centre who operate within the services sector. Setting up only two years ago, they have quickly reached a turn over of £4m and look set to increase this next year.

Due to this exceptional growth and success, they are looking for a career driven and self motivated Finance Manager to help run their newly created in house finance function. You will be the number 1 finance person on site but you will receive support from all levels within the business to reach your full potential.

This role will not only include the nuts and bolts accounting element where you will be preparing accounts and leading the budgeting and forecasting process, it will also require a true finance business partner to help develop financial strategies across the organisation. You will be a proactive decision maker who can provide regular financial reporting but also sound commercial advice to take the business to that next level.

The ideal candidate would be someone who has trained within practice so you'll have a strong technical accounting background. Aside from that it is all about personality. You must be a confident and effective communicator who has a desire to develop their commercial finance skill set. You need to be able to hold your own when it comes to financial advise and be able to intelligently challenge the senior management team when appropriate.
