Sewell Wallis are currently recruiting for a Data/Finance Analyst on a permanent basis. Based within the South Leeds area, this is an excellent opportunity to join a company that pride themselves on their high levels of staff retention and offer a clear support and development programme for the successful candidate. This role will allow exposure to all areas of the business and is a key role in supporting the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager in providing reporting and analysis tools for the business.The ideal candidate will have excellent data analysis skills and will have a strong grasp of Excel with a willingness to learn new skills and techniques.

It would be an advantage if candidates have experience of SQL/SAS however this isn't essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:-
-Working on various different projects using data systems.
-Maintaining and improving models for forecasting.
-Analysing trends of key metrics to budget to inform management and to influence future forecasts.
-Developing and maintaining MI reports to provide information to the senior management and wider business.
-Creating and maintaining models and producing KPI's
Identifying and highlighting any anomalies and correcting data issues.
-Carrying out ad-hoc and project analysis to identify and rectify issues caused by the production of information.
-Assisting with and developing new reporting tools and carrying out the testing and implementation of new processes.
-Producing variance analysis and presenting findings back to the appropriate department or individual.
-Liaising with other teams within the business and being a point of reference for any analytical queries or problems.
You will:-
-Have experience of working within a similar data focused role
-Have strong analytical and numerical skills
-Have strong attention to detail
-Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings back to key stakeholders
-Ideally have Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
-Be able to look for ways to improve current processes and streamline existing procedures
