Estimator

Job description

We are delighted to be working with an exceptional business based in Wetherby who are currently looking for an estimator to join their team.

Working within a friendly, supportive team you will be working closely with customers and will be the first point of contact for all product information and enquiries - full training will be given. The main responsibilities include:

*Prepare timely and accurate quotations in response to enquiries received
*Obtain 3rd party pricing for all products
*Read and interpret customer specifications and requirements
*Act as the main point of contact for individual quotations or tenders
*Coordinate with internal teams
*Prepare pricing documentation ensuring that all criteria have been satisfied
*Ensure deadlines are met
*Obtaining approval for discounts and margins
*Maintain price control records
*Support internal teams with pricing related issues
*Deal effectively, promptly and courteously with any subsequent queries about pricing
*In addition:
oAct as a mentor to newer members of the team

Customer Services experience is preferred but not essential - the important qualities they look for are:

*Business acumen and commercial awareness

*High level of autonomy
*Embraces and drives change
*Ability to communicate effectively with customers.
