We are extremely keen to speak with those looking to progress in their accountancy career. A fantastic Contract Accountant role has become available with a booming business located in Worksop. The company are incredible for internal progression and training, as this role is available due to an internal promotion!You will be reporting to a knowledgeable and approachable Finance Manager, working to provide monthly accounts for head office companies. Your role as a Contract Accountant will include the following:
- Balance sheet reconciliation
- Assisting with company contracts
- Monthly management accounts and reporting
- Reconciling intercompany accounts
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Producing journals
- P&L
- Variance analysis
- Prepayments and accruals
- Exposure to statutory accounts and tax packs
- Statistic returns
What we're looking for:
- Ideally 5 years experience within a similar role
- A strong understanding of accountancy systems
- A good verbal and written communicator
- Experience in month end/journals/balance sheets
