Commercial Finance Manager

Sewell Wallis are working with a well known Retail brand in Pontefract who are recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager to join their team.

You will be a qualified Accountant/ newly qualified ideally with experience of working within a large organisation, preferably FMCG.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance this is an excellent opportunity to be heavily involved in developing and delivering reporting of the commercial performance across the business.

Other key responsibilities will include:-
Maintaining and delivering improvements on commercial financial control and processes
Consolidating weekly and monthly forecasts, working closely with the Commercial Finance Business Partners
Preparing commercial finance forecast and month end presentations
Delivering margin analysis and supporting the wider commercial team with reports
Consolidating the commercial balance sheets
Business partnering with the Financial Control team, dealing with controlling queries and submissions
Leading the year end audit work, being the key commercial finance contact for the Auditors
Co-ordinating the commercial finance month end processes and tracking risks and opportunities
Working closely with key stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in financial systems reporting
Ensuring the master data in all commercial finance systems is maintained to a high level
Reviewing current reporting and identifying areas of improvement
Assisting with training and supporting junior finance colleagues

Requirements

Qualified Accountant, ideally CIMA/ACCA
Strong understanding of how to build reports in Power BI and Cognos
Excellent reporting and analysis skills
Able to work under own initiative
Strong team player
