Commercial Finance Business Partner - Harrogate - £40,000 - £50,000 - Hybrid working

Sewell Wallis are delighted to be working with a fast-growing, highly acquisitive business based in the Harrogate area that are looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Business Partner.

If you have obtained or studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with ability to demonstrate commercial experience and awareness then this is a great opportunity to join a well-established finance team with plenty of opportunity to enhance your career.

The role will support the Finance Director following an internal promotion. The primary aim of this role is to support non-financial departments of the division and provide assistance, challenge and guidance to ensure that the monetary decisions made on a daily basis support the wider goals of the business.

The role does not include any month-end reporting, so is perfect for someone want to move away from this area of finance.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

* Preparing commercial bids ensuring that any potential deals are accurately costed, competitive and are the right decision for the business.
* Identifying areas of commercial and business risk within commercial bids and working to resolve or mitigate these.
* Working with stakeholders across the business to determine pricing strategies.
* Supporting the Connectivity division of the business, providing non-financial teams with commercial support and analysis work.
* Preparing investment cases for incremental operating and capital expenditure within the Division.
* Supporting the Finance Director in preparing and maintaining the forecast, providing regular updates to the FP&A team.

Knowledge & experience:

* Obtained or studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
* Ability to work on own initiative, taking consideration of the business' priorities.
* ability to effectively communicate effectively with non-financial stakeholders at all levels.
* Ability to critically analyse and challenge proposals
* Commercial awareness and ability to see the bigger picture
* Excellent IT skills (Advanced Excel)
