Audit and Accounts Senior

Sewell Wallis is happy to be assisting a leading independent firm of accountants who are very reputable throughout South Yorkshire. This role is very progressive and will continue to develop over time. The firm is very advanced and favors internal promotion and continued development of their staff members. This is an exceptional opportunity one that is worth noting. The successful candidate will be responsible for auditing businesses in multiple industries with a particular emphasis on the audit of small and medium sized companies. The accounting firm believes in providing personal, friendly and pro-active service to all aspects of accountancy which includes audit services.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supporting the senior management team and directly reporting to one of the partners within the firm.
- Preparation of year end accounts under UK GAAP
- Performance of statutory audits
- Provide other assurance service - Having the opportunity to be involved with grant claim audits for the public sector
- Preparing management accounts
- Communicating with Clients & Colleagues
- Providing a great service to clients and dealing with clients directly

Skills and Qualities:
- Ability to maintain professional standards and ethics.
- Always acting in the best interest of the firm whilst also promoting a professional image and having a positive attitude regarding dealings with clients, 3rd parties and other staff members.
- Having the ability to work independently and as part of team
- Ability to provide a helping hand to other staff members in need of assistance
