An opportunity to join a growing Leeds based business that operate in the retail sector. Having been established in the early 2000's, the company have gone from strength to strength and are now a well recognised brand.

The role is a 'ground up' finance role which means the candidate will get oversight of the entire process. Reporting to the FD the Assistant Management Accountant will have full responsibility from the ledgers to P+L oversight.

The candidate will receive full study support, 23 days holiday plus bank (rising to 25), enhanced pension, medical and life assurance plus flexi working.

Key responsibilities;

Management Accounts preparation
-Using Sage50 Accounts
-Nominal ledger ownership and maintenance
-From TB to P&L, Balance sheet and Cash Flow Statements
-Journal creation for Accrual, prepayments and adjustments
-Balance Sheet Recs
-KPI reporting & Variance analysis
- Weekly P&L Snapshot creation

Purchase Ledger
-Ownership and maintenance of full purchase ledger
-Purchase Order Processing
-Receiving and processing invoices
-Maintaining paperless filing
-Payment of suppliers

Sales Ledger
-Ownership and maintenance of full Sales ledger
-Sales order Processing
-Weekly, monthly and adhoc invoice creation
-Maintain clean debtors' book with efficient credit control
-Debtors reporting
-Revenue by Partner reporting

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
-Record bank receipts
-Process payments
-Maintain daily cash flow model for forecasting and management
-Help to manage bank facility

Other Responsibilities

Quarterly group VAT returns using MTD
Credit Card Reconciliation
Maintain Asset Register (fixed & intangibles)
General Ad Hoc Duties as required
Drive and support continuous improvement of finance function
