Assistant Management Accountant

Job description

Sewell Wallis are recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant to join a business on the outskirts of Leeds city centre.

This is an extremely hands on and varied role and reporting to the Financial Controller your responsibilities will include:-

Transactional finance - creation of sales invoices, self-billing, credit notes, liaising with customer service executives on a regular basis and daily sales reporting
Month end reporting on various areas of the business to key managers
Accruals and prepayments (revenue and general accruals)
Maintenance of lease file and reporting to US on quarterly basis
Intercompany reconciliations - multicurrency territory
Balance sheet reconciliations
National statistics - monthly, quarterly and annually
Stock counts and assisting audit
VAT reporting
Creating new suppliers and customer accounts - IR35 forms
Reviewing P&L with financial controller on monthly basis
Ensuring compliance with SOX
Assist other roles within the Finance department where necessary

Requirements

PQ CIMA / ACCA or AAT
Solid Microsoft Excel skills
Ability to work to tight deadlines
Knowledge of SOX / internal controls- extremely beneficial but not essential
Excellent communication and presentation skills
