Assistant Accountant

Job description

Sewell Wallis is currently working with a company based near Bingley who are looking to recruit an assistant accountant. This is to replace someone who has left having found a role closer to home.

This role will report into the company accountant and to be considered you should have solid experience within transactional finance. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to gain exposure to the management accounts side of things and developing their transactional skills.

This is a permanent, full time role and it is fully office based.

Duties will include:
- Invoice processing
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Matching, batching and coding of invoices
- Being a point of contact for queries
- Ad hoc reporting
- Monthly Journals
- Monthly payroll processing
- Sales ledger duties

You will:
- Have previous experience across Purchase ledger and sales ledger
- Be AAT qualified (Desirable)
- Be able to fit in with a sociable team
- Be able to reliably commute to this location
