Acquisitions Accountant

Job description

Sewell Wallis are recruiting for an Acquisitions Accountant to join an Insurance business on the outskirts of Knaresborough.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, you will play a key part in the finance integration of acquired businesses and other finance projects.

Ideally you will be a fully qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA but QBE candidates will also be considered.

Other key responsibilities will include:-

Producing monthly project cashflows and forecast projections
Co-ordinating all finance integration projects
Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process
KPI analysis and financial reporting
Processing and preparing ledger journals
Delivering processes and controls to onboard acquisitions
Co-ordinating pre and post acquisition finance activity to ensure the smooth integration of newly acquired businesses
Working closely with the M&A, Payroll, Treasury and Finance teams

Requirements

Qualified Accountant / QBE
Strong Project accounting background
Ideally experience of working within a financial control environment
Experience within the Insurance sector is desirable
Excellent communication skills
Ability to build and influence good working relationships with the wider finance teams and key stakeholders

Our client is offering hybrid working with on average 1 day a week in the office.
