Acquisitions Accountant
£45,000 - £50,000, Birstall

A newly created opportunity has arisen for an Acquisition Accountant to join a thriving private equity-backed professional services business based near Birstall. Having successfully acquired businesses in the past, they are looking to undertake a number of new acquisitions and are going through a period of fast positive growth. They have doubled in size in the last few years and have recently revamped their office space to accommodate their growing team.

You will be working alongside the Financial Controller and Head of Finance to provide key insight into the acquisition process and be a real value-add to the business.

The Role:

Doing the pre-acquisition due diligence for a prospective new acquisition
Running analysis on spreadsheets offering recommendations and advising key senior members of staff
Undertake valuations on balance sheet items from the company they are purchasing
Technical knowledge and support for the business
Supporting integration of new business finance functions into the group

About You:

ACA/ACCA Qualified (essential)
Experience in an acquisitive business
Experience within Payments/Software/Financial Messaging
