We have an exciting opportunity working for a well-known Sheffield business who's looking to welcome an Accounts Payable Assistant to their team!Our client is a leading expert in their sector, providing a supportive working environment and good work-life balance. This is a vital role in the finance team, providing hands-on Accounts Payable support, which can look like:
* Processing invoices, expense reports, and payment requests accurately and in a timely manner.
* Supplier statement reconciliations, ensuring discrepancies are addressed and resolved.
* Verify the accuracy of data input and maintain updated records in the accounting system.
* Communicate effectively with vendors, internal departments, and team members to address inquiries and resolve issues.
* Assist in preparing reports and reconciling accounts.
* Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and implement best practices.
* Support the finance department with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
The ideal candidate:
* Previous experience in accounts payable or a related financial role is preferred.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software systems.
* Good attention to detail and level of accuracy in data entry and processing.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
* A willingness to learn and adapt.
