Accounts Assistant

Job description

Sewell Wallis recruitment are currently working with a leading Sheffield based business who are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate as my client have huge plans for growth in the future.

The right candidate will ideally have experience managing a high volume of purchase ledger invoices and good Microsoft Excel skills.

* Processing supplier invoices
* Coding and matching invoices
* Reconciliation of supplier statements
* Dealing with queries (both internally and externally)
* Work individually and collectively to improve departmental KPI's
* Ensure timely payment to suppliers and adherence to terms and credit limits
* Manage own workload and assist the wider team, where required, to ensure monthly deadlines are met
* Strive for continuous improvement and ways to streamline processes
* Keeping all ledgers clean and tidy
* General accounting tasks
* Administration tasks

Experience required

* Experience within a similar role
* Strong administrative skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to achieve deadlines
* Experience with Sage
* Strong Excel skills including vlookups and pivot tables
