Accounts Assistant

Sewell Wallis recruitment are working with a leading business who are based in Barnsley (North Sheffield/South Barnsley). Due to expansion, they now have an opening for an Accounts Assistant to work within their busy accounts team.

This role will involve Credit Control, Purchase Ledger and a small Payroll cycle of 10 members of staff. Do not worry if you don't have experience in Payroll as they are happy to provide training where needed.

The right individual will be bright and have experience in purchase ledger, credit control and be interested in learning the payroll aspect of the the role.

Salary of this role will offer some great benefits including a 2.00pm finish on a Friday!

The role;

* Resolving invoice queries
* Processing invoices to supplier ledgers
* Reviewing employee expenses
* Reconciling supplier ledgers to statements
* Chasing overdue payments
* Raising customer invoices
* Cash allocation
* Bank / Petty cash reconciliation
* Preparation of daily cash report
* PAYE Return
* Payroll - reviewing clock ins, calculating pay, paying employees, pensions etc

The candidate;

* Experience in chasing payments
* Experience processing a high volume of invoices
* Experience using Sage (desirable)
* Experience calculating payroll (desirable)
