Senior Tax Advisor
About the Role
Sewell Wallis are working with a progressive Accountancy Firm looking for a Senior Tax Advisor to join their team.
As a business, they strive to help their clients think differently and drive the success of their business. Their clients range from individuals, small businesses, large businesses and start-ups.
This covers both corporate and personal tax and this individual will be part of a team of two who will cover both and get exposure to so much more!
What you will be doing:
Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, including individuals, partnerships, and trusts.
- Preparing and reviewing personal and corporate tax returns, including self-assessment tax returns, partnership tax returns, and trust tax returns.
- Providing tailored tax planning advice to clients, including income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax planning.
- Preparing and reviewing Forms P11D and working alongside our specialist Employment Tax team in the provision of employment benefits advice
- Managing client relationships and providing excellent client service.
- Liaising with HMRC and resolving any tax queries or issues.
- Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team.
- Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and communicating these changes to clients.
What skills are we looking for:
- CTA or ACA qualified with several years of experience in personal tax.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation, including income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax.
- Experience in managing a portfolio of personal tax clients and providing tailored tax planning advice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
