Senior Accounts Assistant

Salary/Rate:£28,000 - £30,000 per annum

About the Role

Sewell Wallis are working with a business based on the outskirts of York who are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis.

The reason the role has come about is due to a member of the team relocating.

Ideally you are immediately available or on a short notice, in order to complete a handover.

You must have over excellent experience within transactional finance, and they are looking for candidates who are eager to further their career and gain management accounts experience.

The company are a very friendly and warm team that has a real personal feel to it, this role would be great if you are a driven and confident individual looking to join a team with similar job.

Your key responsibilities will include:-

  • Managing sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll duties
  • Financial reporting
  • Assisting with the monthly management accounts process
  • Sole responsibility of budgeting, forecasting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Being a key contact to internal and external audit teams
  • Assisting the team with the monthly management accounts process
  • Transactional duties such as managing the purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll
  • Assisting with balance sheet reconciliations, forecasting and budgeting
  • First point of call for external and internal queries and for the audit team
  • Assisting with financial reporting
