About the Role

Sewell Wallis are partnering with a Market Leader in the Education and Training sector, based in Sheffield (central), who are hoping to secure a FP&A Accountant on a full-time basis offering up to £60,000. You'll be joining at an exciting time of growth, in which you'll be instrumental to influencing and guiding stakeholder decisions.

This role requires someone who is confident creating complex models and integrating them, you'll need excellent communication skills, being able to present and explain your insights to the board and create actionable strategies, and have strong commercial acumen.

What will you be doing?

  • You will be driving growth through data and real-time commercial insights, presenting to the board of stakeholders.
  • Working with numerous departments across the organisation, to refine strategic initiatives and increase business, particularly overseas.
  • Act as a financial partner to the leadership teams in a variety of areas including content, products, data, C-suite, to determine the company's evolution.
  • Examine key drivers like pricing, unit economics, and margin optimisation, identifying growth opportunities and risks.
  • Involvement with process improvement and development of internal controls which will enhance efficiency, accuracy and operational effectiveness.

What skills are we looking for?

  • Qualified Accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced workplace.
  • Previous experience in SaaS, technology, consumer, or education sectors.
  • Expert modelling skills in Excel, ideally PowerBI experience.
  • Experience with Excel, Tableau, Sage; SaaS.
  • A passion for innovation and improvement.
  • The ability to communicate and present complex data in a digestible and succinct way.
