About the Role
Sewell Wallis is working with a forward-thinking global company based out of Worksop who are looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant for full time hours on a rolling contract! Although initially this position will be on a rolling contract, there is a strong possibility for this to turn permanent after 6 months but this would be ideal for someone available immediately.
What will you be doing?
- Reconciliation and processing of prepayments, accruals and standard charges.
- Balance Sheet reconciliation.
- Preparation of the budgets and forecasts.
- Monthly accounts for overhead costs.
- Quarterly preparation of VAT returns.
- Assist with preparation of Statutory Accounts and Tax packs.
- Processing journals.
- Reconciliation of fixed asset control.
- Management of company credit cards.
What skills are we looking for?
- Willingness to studying towards ACCA/CIMA, or currently studying/qualified AAT.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills – including V-lookups and pivot tables.
- Confident communicator both verbally and written.
- Attention to detail.
- Great customer service experience and skills.
