Accounts Payable Assistant

Salary/Rate:£24,000 - £26,000 per annum

About the Role

Sewell Wallis are working with a well-established company based in Cleckheaton who are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join their finance team.

This role will report into the Financial Controller and will play a crucial role in managing the group's accounts payable function, ensuring all supplier invoices are accurately processed, and payments are made on time.

What will you be doing? 

  • Processing supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorisation.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintaining the accounts payable ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Preparing and processing supplier payment runs.

What skills are we looking for?  

  • Previous experience in accounts payable. 
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and working with ERP systems; however, this is not essential.
  • Strong communicator with excellent people skills.
